Campfire Dessert Contest



Schedule:
10:45        Submit entries
11:00        Entries judged followed by public sampling
2:00 PM    Winners announced

Policies:
        All desserts must be prepared and cooked on-site, in the open, on the day of the cook-off.  
        No ingredient may be pre-cooked in any way prior to the commencement of the official contest,
        except for packages ingredients, such as graham crackers.            
        There are no restrictions on ingredients or types of desserts:  homemade, semi-homemade, from a mix, out
        of a can, etc., etc.   Stir it in, if you think it will make your dessert a winner!  However, due to possible illness,
        do not submit desserts made with raw eggs.
        Each dessert should serve at least eight (8) hungry campers. After submitting judging samples, cooks will
        serve the remaining sweets to the public.
        Desserts will be blind-judged on the following criteria:
        •        Appearance
        •        Texture
        •        Flavor
        •        Creativity
        •        Camper Appeal
        The winner agrees to make their recipe available for publication in the Antlers American newspaper, the
       Clayton Today newspaper, and on the Antlers Deer Festival website:  www.deerfestival.com   

Contestant Responsibilities:
        All ingredients, utensils and cookware for the recipe, etc.
        Source of cooking heat and fuel.  There will be no electricity, so teams will need to provide cookers, gas,
        propane, wood, etc.  Check burn ban when considering heat source.
        Any additional chairs, tables, or aprons needed by team members.
        Contestants are responsible for submitting a written (preferably typed) recipe with their entry.

Prize:
Grand Champion Sweet Tooth – Tent (retail value $100.00 - 13 x 13 (2) locker family hex dome tent!)













Agreement of official rules: By participating in this contest each entrant unconditionally accepts these official rules
and the decision of the judges, promoter and administrators. Failure to comply could result in disqualifying the
dessert entry.
